Design + Systeme developed an interactive AR application for Coperion GmbH at the world's largest trade fair for machinery and plant engineering in the field of plastics processing, ‘K 2010’.‍

Visitors were able to experience a virtual plastics compounding plant in its original dimensions and function via several ‘viewers’ placed on the trade fair stand. The virtual factory was ‘placed’ directly on the exhibition stand and incorporated a real extrusion machine located in the exhibition area. This formed the centre of the simulation, which illustrated the function of the system.‍

By rotating and tilting the screens, details and functions of individual components could be focused on and experienced.
